Design and Build: GIA Bathroom & Kitchen Renovations
Location: Brighton east
Duration: 12 Weeks
Scope: Complete Home Renovation – Kitchen, Bathroom, Ensuite, Powder Room, Timber flooring & Painting
Brief: This bayside home required afresh makeover. The homeowners wanted to reconfigure the existing homes interior to produce a better flow throughout the home. The ground floor comprised of a small kitchen, dining and living area and at the front of the home was an unused lounge room. The brief was to increase the footprint of the kitchen making it the hub of the home, whilst allowing for a dining area and relocating the main living area to the front of the home. The first-floor bathroom & ensuite were also renovated after both rooms were exposed to water damage over the years. The new design reconfigured the kitchen to be placed along the length of the room, which created a large-scale kitchen that would accommodate a large central island bench and feature a stunning window splashback. This allowed for a dining area to run parallel to the kitchen creating an area for the family to entertain. The bathroom and ensuite were renovated with a contemporary finish, and have similar styling found in the kitchen. The use of bold shapes and contrasting tones make a dramatic impact in this home. The marble look benchtops and feature pendant lighting work alongside the natural lighting to make the most of this impressive family home.
