Award-winning architect The Quinlan Group presents the Parker Residence - an expansive waterfront apartment perfect for entertaining.
A substantial waterfront apartment, the Parker Residence was designed around the client's love of large scale entertaining. The apartment has therefore been divided into two distinct zones, public and private. The interface between the two is a single continuous wall of joinery which can open and shut in multiple configurations depending on function. This theme is carried through the entire public space, with multiple retractable laser cut screens allowing for maximum flexibility. The screens themselves are housed within a series of stone blade walls which anchor the scheme and double as display plinths for the client's substantial art collection.
The flexible space features the minimalist aesthetics of Japanese and Brazilian modernists, whilst showcasing premium materials in a natural palette. Schweigen is privileged to see the UM422O-12S ceiling cassette incorporated into the design - enabling silent powerful extraction and composing unrestricted views of the spectacular Sydney harbour.
